📆 Scheduling a Post in the Social Planner

Welcome to the Social Planner posting workflow! This guide walks you through how to create and schedule a social media post across multiple connected platforms.


🚀 Getting Started

  1. Go to Marketing from the left-hand navigation panel.

  2. Click on Social Planner.

  3. In the upper right-hand corner, click New Post → Select Create New Post.

💡 You can also create new posts from several other tabs at the bottom of the Social Planner interface, but we’ll focus on the New Post button for now.


📝 The Post Scheduler Interface

After clicking Create New Post, you’ll be taken to the Social Post Scheduling screen.

Step 1: Select Accounts

  • Choose the social platforms you want to post to.

  • You can select multiple accounts (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Pinterest).

⚠️ Each platform has its own limitations. Some content types (like Reels or Stories) may only be available if you post to one platform at a time.


👀 Preview Panel & Post Options

  • On the right-hand side, you’ll see previews for each platform (Facebook, LinkedIn, X, etc.).

  • On the left-hand side, you’ll configure the post content.

🧩 Post Type

  • Choose between Post, Story, or Reel.

  • Note: Stories and Reels are only available when posting to supported platforms individually (e.g., Instagram).


🎯 Customize for Each Channel (Optional)

You’ll see a toggle for Customize for Each Channel:

  • OFF (default): The same content posts to all selected platforms.

  • ON: Allows you to create platform-specific content (e.g., different captions, images, hashtags).


📎 Upload Content

In the Content section:

  • Add text, hashtags, location tags, or use Content AI to help generate text.

  • Tag accounts (if supported by the platform).

  • Upload:

    • Image via 📷 icon (from library or AI-generated)

    • Video via 🎥 icon

Example: Use AI to generate an image of a "dreamlike apple," then upload it.


🛠 Platform-Specific Settings

Depending on the platforms selected, you may see additional options:

  • TikTok: Requires a video file; allows specific actions and disclosure settings.

  • Pinterest: Add a Title, Link, and Board.

  • Follow-Up Comment: Available only on platforms that support this.


🗂 Advanced Options

  • Category/Tag: Organize and filter posts within the Social Planner (e.g., “Holiday” category).

  • Helps with internal team collaboration and filtering.


📋 Final Steps & Posting Options

At the bottom of the page, you’ll find multiple actions:

💾 Save for Later

  • Saves your post as a draft to return to later.

📤 Post Options

Click the Post button or the dropdown arrow for more choices:

  1. Post Now: Immediately publishes to selected platforms.

  2. Schedule Post:

    • Choose a future date and time

    • Review content previews by platform

  3. Send for Approval:

    • Assign an approver and leave optional notes

    • If approved before the scheduled time, it will auto-post

  4. Schedule Recurring Post:

    • Repeat a post on selected intervals (e.g., every holiday)

⚠️ Any posting errors (e.g., TikTok requires a video) will be shown below the editor. Make necessary adjustments before scheduling.


✅ Posting Best Practices

  • Always preview your content per platform

  • Use correct image/video sizes for each platform

  • Consider customizing by platform for better engagement
